Hello all --
I've always been a fan of the sound made by A/D/S speakers, since the mid 1970s when I first was old enough to appreciate what a real set of speakers should sound like.
I use a set of L710 speakers, 4 driver three way design, as my main speakers, with a set of L9e as the back speaker, a Cambridge 10 inch subwoofer, (junk, which I will probably get rid of soon), and a home made center channel based on the Paradigm design, but with better components all around and a heavier case, with a tougher crossover. I couldn't afford the upper range Paradigm center channel speaker, so I found the specs on what they used and built a better speaker -- it sounds GREAT!!!
As nice a home theater system this is, I'd grab a set of L810 or, if I got REALLY, REALLY, REALLY lucky, set of L910 speakers to use as the mains.
I remember the first set of L910 I heard, and have wanted a set for many years. Unfortunately, whenever I manage to run into a set of them, I cannot afford to buy them!!!! I'm in better shape as far as money is concerned right now, and I'm hoping there is someone who needs a good home for a beloved pair of speakers. I promise to treat these speakers gently. They will have a nice long life in my house. Most of the music I listen to is old jazz. They will never be beaten or abused.
If anyone has any of these they want to sell, and they live within a reasonable drive of Cape Cod, MA, (say around 200 miles round trip...) drop me an e-mail. Shipping things this large and delicate sounds crazy to me, I'd rather pick them up -- gently...Scott <eMail is sbieg@aol.com >
