Hey, that's almost as good as the one Tom Cruise used in "Minority Report".

I wonder what processing power that takes.

Maybe I've been living in Silicon Valley too long... it's a cool demo... but what are the applications? (Besides maybe the television weather forecast.)

Very cool, it reminds me of SGI's reality center

I think I that I saw the same demo at least a year ago. I don't see how it could be useful in households but it could be nice for some businesses.

I wonder what processing power that takes.

I don't know the answer, but I'm told that Intel is extremely excited because it gives a reason for the next two or three levels of increase in processor power. The kind of reason that drives sales of new chips...

Cool, there are plenty of home application for this. Imagine the front of the refrigirator being a screen and the wife arranging the kids soccer/appointment calendar with this (or planning the menu for a big party).

Imagine being able to arrange your playlist by moving around cd covers into a play sequence (each time you touch the cd cover image it gives you a sample of the music).

Imagine planning a vacation and having the whole trip laid out, with pictures of attractions you want to see along the way.

Imagine financial planning by visually moving your money around to different investment options and seeing the long and short term return opportunities.

We're a visual and tactile race. In fact, and as far as I'm concerned, the three most important senses are sight, touch and hearing.

As far as current computing goes ..., the keyboard and mouse inputs SUCK!!!

Not only that, but you could virtually move it around in your HT space and determine the most optimal placement for sound and visual impact. I would think in five years everyone will either have one or want one.
