Those speakers look very promising. THX for the link. MacTifoso 02-10-2007, 10:39 AM Also came across this in the photo gallery at Stereophile. JA and (gasp!) Mikey visit Binghamton. Pics are on pages one and two... http://forum.stereophile.com/photopost/showgallery.php/cat/501/password/ cnote 02-10-2007, 11:15 AM Excellent video:yes: I wasn't able to attend the CES this year and it was exciting to see the VP1000, AP1000, and the XRT300 speakers. I was considering the XRT30s, but I'll sit tight until summer as Chuck said for the new speakers.:thmbsp: cnote ron-c 02-10-2007, 11:49 AM Make that a loaded Camry... Hope Bill, Donald, and Warren are ready to update their audio/video systems. william.keith 02-10-2007, 02:14 PM I was considering the XRT30s, but I'll sit tight until summer as Chuck said for the new speakers.:thmbsp: cnote As information, opposing perspective on line-array speakers. http://mixonline.com/mag/audio_truth_loudspeaker_arrays_2/index.html cnote 02-10-2007, 02:39 PM Make that a loaded Camry... Thanks, Ron-C That doesn’t surprise me given the price of the XRT28s and XRT30s. The XRT2K’s are just beyond my price point, but make not mistake, they are the best speaker that I have auditioned to date. I’ve been trying to locate a dealer with 200-300 miles to listen to the 30s, but no such luck. I hope the XRT300s deliver better on the bottom than the 28s. I auditioned them twice and it just wasn’t there. I’m ready to make a move, but I can wait a little longer.:thmbsp: cnote JSCC 02-10-2007, 04:19 PM AP1000, VP1000, XRT300 - Chuck Hinton explains it all..."Shouldn't be more than the price of a Toyota." http://www.cinenow.com/uk/play-video-610.html How much is a Toyota costs in USD terms? Cant relate over here as cars are taxed heavily. Any advise? ron-c 02-10-2007, 07:25 PM A nice one is about $30,000 I would say. Thanks, Ron-C JSCC 02-10-2007, 07:30 PM A nice one is about $30,000 I would say. Thanks, Ron-C Hi Ron, thanks for the info. RRP I suppose. So, with discount, would it not be same of slightly higher than the XRT30's? Would the XRT30 continue or would this be replaced? Any more news to share about this XRT300's? Woofer size? 10 inches or 12 inches? Number of mid and high drivers? Same as the column XRT30's? For sure, this would definitely be able to slot into my current WP7 space. So, saves me a lot of re-decor headache. Sorry for the barrage of questions Ron, but I am anxious about this as Summer is around the corner - I take it a April starting. So little time to save and so many to desire .... Sigh, ............ Please advise. Thanks. ron-c 02-10-2007, 08:20 PM Jerry, I was speaking about the car not the speakers. The 300s are still prototypes so I will hold my comments until they are closer to becoming a real product. the prototypes had no problem filling the very large room they were in with a full balanced sound. Thanks, Ron-C As usual, thanks Ron for the advise. I will hold back and wait for the enitre picture before deciding which speaker to go for (and may it be the last pair ... I hope). Meanwhile, time to start saving every penny available. Cheers. |
