While attending a recent AK get together at pieceitpetes, I overheard Warren mention that he had come into possesion of a very nice SX1250, (with original box) which he was planning on giving a going over, and then listing on (you know where).

Well upon hearing where the conversation was going, my sensors locked on and I asked him what his price would be for me to buy the unit outright. I agreed on the price and now two weeks later I have taken the drive to Ohio to pick it up. It is as Warren described, good as new on the outside as well as internally, and sounds beautiful.

The Doc could have listed this on (that auction site) and possibly made more money on it. Instead he agreed to sell it to me. Thanks Warren. This is probably the closest to new condition that a 30 something year old receiver can be except for one that was never unpacked.

Rich is a great guy, period. He came down to pick up the receiver and we had a nice visit, on the short side because I had to go meet my inlaws for lunch. Anyway he agreed to buy the receiver sight unseen and then came through when I had it ready.
Thanks, Rich!:thmbsp:

Another GIANT thumbs up and THANK YOU! to Warren for the restoration work he did on my 9090db. He calls this service "The Full Treatment", and I'm here to tell you all that this beauty is looking fantastic with all the lights working and she's sounding more fabulous than ever too. While changing all the lamps, the doc installed super brite LEDS in the power meters and they look awesome. I've posted pictures in the Sansui forum for anyone who cares to see.

Thanks doc, you da man!:thmbsp::thmbsp::thmbsp:

This time it's my Phase Linear 400 full recap etc, and precision set up of a Dual CS 5000/Ortofon Super OM 20.

Thanks Warren, it was fun hanging out at your shop today and getting the tt set up lesson. The amp looks great, love the new connectors, letting her come to room temp over night before I plug in.
Once again and as always, another happy customer!!!!:thmbsp:

Warren totally restored my Marantz 510M. I picked it up yesterday (interrupting Rich's cart setup lesson). The beast sounds magnificent. Thanks, Warren!

Doc just so you know, the perceived shyness of bass of yesterdays test session has disappeared. I hooked up the CS5000 this morning, slapped Aja on the platter, and it sounds wonderful throughout all freq ranges. I love this tt and this cartridge. Thanks again:thmbsp:
