Yes, I've become a pretty big fan. I was always more of an open wheel turn right guy but Nascar has really grown on me over the years. I Get to the spring Charlotte and the road coarse race in Watkins Glen every year.

Yes! I have no favorite driver though. I am just a big motorsports fan. I attend the Homestead races every year.

More of an NHRA fan. Roundy rounds make me dizzy:D

I would love to see someone run Jeff Gordon into a wall !

Count me in as a fan. No particular favorite now - no one has been able to replace number 3 IMO.

Grumpy - me and you both!!

I've been a fan of all motor racing all my life. Nascar is cool. Used to be a big Buddy Baker fan and the Yarborough boys, yeehaa!! Now #2 has my devotion. Go Rusty!!!!!
Prototype racing, ala Le Mans, has always been my favorite stuff. Bring on the GT40's, the 330P4's and the 2E. Now that was racing.
Then there's Formula 1. They sound like hyperactive sewing machines, those engines turning almost 20,000 RPM - whew!!

I've seen both Winston and Busch races at Daytona, Talledega, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dover(!), Rockingham(!!), the Glen, Pocono and Nazereth.
Nothing like the sound of a 40 car field at full throttle at the start:eek:

I don't care for NASCAR on TV but I go to the local track all summer and watch stock car racing in person and would love a chance to see the big boys in NASCAR race in person. I do like to catch the highlights on ESPN next morning, actually I don't like to watch the racing I like to watch the crashing I should say ;)

cathing a race in person is much diferent than tv. i usually go to Dover or Pocono every year. Pocono is OK, but Dover is friggin great!

Dover is probably my favorite track on the NASCAR circuit. Followed by Martinsville, Watkins Glen, Sonoma, Texas, and Atlanta.

As for sucky tracks New Hampshire used to suck, although the was surprisingly good this year. The plate races are no fun for me.

I hope the changes at Homestead will make for better racing this year.

The nearest local bullring for me is Hialeah Speedway. 1/3 mile oval. Haven't been down there since my son was born. I hope to start going again next season when the little one is a little older.
