I've heard Pinetop before and his blues piano is pretty amazing but the recording quality was really NOT good. I was at the Barnes and Noble and had some time while waiting for my sister to shop and found this CD "Born in the Delta". If you like Blues piano, you should really listen to this.

That's a goodie and it's a Telarc, which may have something to do with the quality of the recording

I guess that I'll have to keep my eye out for more blues artists on TelArc.

When I lived in Halifax,Nova Scotia I"d go see Pinetop play at the Flamingo Club.Pretty amazing man,I'd stay there til about 2Am,get a little buzz on,then go to work the next day.This was about 20 yrs ago.Betcha I couldn't do that now.

I think ole father time has pretty much conspired to have me in the house by 2am for a few years now....well, at least if I have to get up and be functional the next day.
