Hey guys

I am just curious. I just ran a speed check over at Cnet and my connection speed was 1196 kbps. That was during peak hours by me. once the bratty kids go back to school it climbs well into the 1600-1700 range. I am just curious as to your speeds tested on the same page

1072... Hmmm thats a lot higher than it used to be. Used to be in the 800 range and during those really slow periods 100 (ouch). Better than a dial-up. Haven't been on that for over 5 years.

I got 1.7 Mb with that. Thats more consistant with what I normally see. A lot better than the 32Kb or so that you would get with a 56K modem

:grnbounce Hey Grumpy:beer:

As of 11:00 p.m. PDT 08/09/2002

CNet 2390kbs
Thor's site 1.2 Mbs.

Pretty normal for this time of day. It's always a bazillion times better than my old AOL connection which often was <12kbs.

Gotta love it!!

Whoooooooooooo, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I'm flyin' at a crisp 33.3K. If I don't slow down I might scare myself. Livin' in the country is great, except for internet. Oh, and cable too, I can look outside my window and see the corner where the cable company won't run lines farther, I can practically throw a rock and hit it from my driveway. Oh, they say I can pay them 2500 bucks and they will be happy to run the 100 feet of cable to my house. Gee, how nice of them. Can you tell this is an area of contention in our house  :D
