Not sure why people post these type of posts if there is no affiliation? It's not like that's an outragously good deal. One will probably be listed tommorrow.

That was a VERY good deal based on the condition and that's why we post "em - to give fellow AKers a "heads up" in case they are on the hunt for such an item. And the reason we always declare "no affiliation" is because it is against AK ethics to promote your own items for sale within this thread. Unfortunately, I missed it  Thanks though Mattybumpkin.

Didn't realize it was such a steal. My rationale was based on that being an average price.

That isn't what I consider a deal. I sold one yesterday for $125. I don't consider the one I sold a "deal" either. It's a fair price and it's going to a good home where it's going to be appreciated.

If your resources for finding one of these is somewhat narrow and you have to depend on eBay, then I think this is a good deal, especially for a unit in that kind of condition.

Just look up what the completed listings to see the selling price history. Also, just last year about this time and a couple of years ago these SX-1080s were PRIME TIME going in excess of $400 for examples as clean as this one. Some even went for more than $500 a couple of years ago:yikes: ! The market obviously fluctuates. Is it possible to get a better deal outside of Ebay- of course, but as mentioned if Ebay is where you have to acquire one then the deals don't get much better than that one.

I'm the proud new owner of motorsport's SX-1080, along with a nice pair of Ohm Ls. Not the first or last time I'll buy his "excess" equipment. The poor guy needs to make room. :)
He is ALWAYS fair and I trust him.
And with hydration being key to any audio dealing, we also had several tasty cold beverages.
Thanks Brian!

Hey Mark; Glad to hear you made it home with your new toys. Too bad we didn't hook up with Rory and his stacked dq10's. He was waiting to hear from us and he keeps well "hydrated" also. I just e-mailed ohm about those nasty sounding walshes. I don't think folks here believe me when I state how bad they sound. Glad to hear you agree with me on their lack of sound quality. Enjoy your new L's and your sx1080. I'd love to see some pictures once you get them all set up. And thanks for the kind words Brian

Don't want to hijack, but I had to comment on Brian's signature, RIP MR. Zevon!
