last year i disassembled a pair of qb's to redo x-overs and refinish the goofy ass wood grain vinyl sheeted cabs. i inadvertantly unscrewed the wrong screws on one of the tweeters and it came apart. i believe i got it back together again correctly, but wanna know for sure.
how do i test it? thanx, guys. i'm a liberal arts major, ok?

Hi Shrinkboy,
Do you have and have you used a multimeter before? A check of the DC Resistance across the + and - leads is a good first check to prove continuity is good. Per posts by Omi with his Qa emits (they are the same), they should read 3.2 Ohms. This is done without the wires attached.
The solid blue wire should be soldered to the + marked terminal or side, for proper phasing. See http://www.infinity-classics.de/infinity/technik/manuals/Qb_technical_sheet.pdf
The only other possible nonconformity I can think of from a repair is whether the diaphragm is installed correctly. If similar to my Q2's, the mylar on the metal frame of the diaphragm should be towards the front of the speaker.
Reply back if you need clarification.

kencat-- first off, thanx. i broke out my seldom used radio shack digital MM, set the rotary switch to measure K-Ohm symbol, placed red lead on + and black on the other-- one emit measured dead on 3.2, the other 3.7.
good enough, huh?
thanx a bunch
