Hi everyone I just recently got a 1060 and a 2275. I have a XM Receiver hooked up to the 1060 Through the AUX and a pair of B&W 602 S3 speakers.

Do you think this will sound as good as if I use the same hooked to the 2275?
Do you think the sound quality is as good using the XM as the tuner on the 2275?
It seems the 2275 gets a some static using it`s tuner I am using a terk powered antenna and it seems when the stations are just getting tuned in good in stereo ( the STEREO light comes on) the static comes in.
one more ?
What input would you use for a CD player on the 1060 and the 2275 if you are using the XM in the AUX?
And finally can anyone recomend a Tech in Maryland thats good and won`t rip me should I decide to get the 2275 overhauled?

Thanks for all the help I`m almost done reding all the other posts in the Marantz Forum I`m starting to learn a few things  Jim

This is one of those things you need to try and decide. If you have an external antenna the 2275's tuner should sound pretty darn good.

Good luck!

Running XM through the tuner is never as good as pluging it into the aux or tape jacks.

Merrylander should be able to help you out on the service. He specializes on Yamaha's but should be able to work on your Marantz as well.
