View Full Version : Kind of bummed, won't make this years fest
Wardsweb 03-05-2007, 01:55 PM Yes, it's sad but true, I won't be making the fest for the first time in years. I'm starting my new job that week and my daughter is coming in from college during spring break. So, as much as I love you guys and will miss the good times, I must opt for my new job and my daughter.
You better take lots of pics so I can live vicariously through you.
Negotiableterms 03-05-2007, 02:05 PM Luther, I'm disappointed! How can you let little things like your livelihood and family get in the way of the Fest??? We'll miss ya.
jcmjrt 03-05-2007, 02:13 PM That's really too bad Luther. I'm sorry that you won't be there. Get the new job successfully underway and enjoy your daughter's visit.
Billfort 03-05-2007, 02:20 PM Sorry to hear you won't be there Luther, was looking forward to talking.
OK, new job and family, I guess that's a good excuse...:)
Wardsweb 03-05-2007, 02:43 PM Thanks for understanding guys. Ya'll are the best. This decision was not taken lightly and only after much thought and calculations in the order X approaching infinity in the third plane of quantum physics; i.e. not easy. The upside isn't so much the new job, but my daugther. Even at 21, she is still my baby girl and will always have me wrapped around her finger. I wouldn't have it any other way.

From the office of repetition and redundancy...
"Help Stamp Out and Abolish Redundancy!"
Once had a boss at the USPS (stayed there 7 days....ugh) tell us multiple times...
"We're going to expedite this as quickly as possible."
Have a good time with your daughter. One must prioritize.
Billfort 03-05-2007, 03:12 PM Yeah, I understand about your daughter, mine has me wrapped around her finger and she's only a year old. :)
The only way I could get away with the Fest was bringing daughter and mom.
Stuck here as well. Uncle Sam wiped me out this year. :(

Family and career have to come first.
And there's always next year. :)
EricC 03-05-2007, 05:42 PM You could bring your daughter to the fest. My 21 year old girlfriend will be there for her to hang with her. With how well Nadia and Rob's wife get along its too bad she couldn't join him and talk about doll houses all weekend.
luvvinvinyl 03-05-2007, 08:31 PM We'll miss you Luther.
RichPA 03-05-2007, 08:38 PM Bummer, Luther, but Stuart said it well:
Family and career have to come first.
Fisherdude 03-05-2007, 09:13 PM Bummer!
I missed last year, and I was looking forward to seeing everybody this year. But, family and that other thing, (oh yeah...getting paid), come first!
See you next year!
Clay
piece-it pete 03-06-2007, 04:53 PM Sorry to hear you're not making it, Luther, but agreed what a great reason.
I hope you have a great time with your daughter, you must be proud!
Pete

But seriously sorry to hear it. The fest will not be the same without your freindly face bopping from one room to the next.
