I just acquired a Fisher stereo console with a tube amp and preamp. It works surprisingly well. I think the amp is model # 680-A; it has 4 7591 power tubes. I'm not sure the amp can operate correctly alone - may need circuits in the preamp.
I am just wondering if any one here has restored one of these, or has any additional info on them such as date of manufacture and wattage. I will recap and test, but there is no hum (I brought it up slow on a variac).
Sounds good so far.
