Purhased an SX-1010 receiver, pair of CS-911 speakers, 55-DX turntable, CT-f7171 cassette deck and an Akai cross-field (300?) reel to reel for $100. All but the speakers are in beautiful shape and I plan on adding the receiver to the collection but how about the cassette and turntable? Any collectability/utility to these? I'm running out of room (aren't we all?) and already have a number of other 'tables & cassette decks to play with.

Nice job on the SX-1010. One of Pioneer's best receivers for sure. Not sure about the turntable but the CT-F7171 is a good deck. Third from the top of the line CT-F9191.

I would keep the receiver and turntable, and sell the reel-to-reel and cassette deck. I am a tremendous fan of Pioneer receivers and turntables, but I have never been highly impressed with their cassette decks, especially in light of Nakamichi and certain generations of Aiwa and Sony. Crossfield Akai machines are OLD, and the crossfield heads have to be critically aligned in order to get decent recordings.
