I was rooting for them GF. Normally don't watch much baseball, but I sure wanted to see the Cubs in the show. :sigh:

Damn, I was rooting for the Cubs too. Being a Red Sox fan I can empathize.

A Cubs Red Sox World Series... oh, that would have been great!

Here's hoping the Sox can beat the 'Evil Empire' tonight.

So you cubs fans gonna track down the guy that cost you the series? I read that Gov. Bush of Florida offered the guy an Island in florida to hide out at, all expenses paid for 3 months.

Thor last I heard resorts are bidding to give this guy a long vacation in Florida. Last offer was 1 yr in a resort with free meals and rum runners for him and his family. IF that was me, I'd be on the first bus to Florida preferably under the cover of darkness with a full beard and moustache for a disguise. Was it just me, or didn't it look like this guy took "the short bus" to school??

lay off that guy,he did not cost the cubs the chance to go to the ws.the short stop who booted the double play ball did.and last night the inability of k wood to not get the job done. and lets not forget florida thay would not quit! i think the better of the two teams won.

and another thing i would have someones ass at the chicago sun times for giving this guys name and place of employment out in the paper!

Letr me begin my post by saying that I am a Marlins fan. I hope this does not make my post seem biased in any way.

Steve Bartman made a mental mistake. He should have given Alou a chance to catch the ball. However, as he said in his public statement, he got caught up in the moment. I hope Cubs fans take teh following events into consideration: a wild pitch by one of the hottest pitchers in baseball, a hit by Pudge, fielding error by Gonzo, an intentional walk, a sac fly (by Conine I believe), another intentional walk, then a succesful outing by a pich hitter.

Then on game 7, that other Cubs ace, Kerry Wood, in a valiant performace, gave up SEVEN earned runs. The Cubs brought it on themselves. Steve Bartman did not cost the Chicago Cubs a WS berth, IMHO. These guys get paid millions of dollars to play a game. At that salary level, they are expected to overcome things such as the Steve Bartman incident. They did not, so their season is over. Simple as that.
