Artist.....Saliva
Title.......Blood Stained Love Story
Released.2007
Label......Def Jam Island Records
Genre.....Alt Metal
I was turned on to this band back in 2004, at a party, The host had "Survival
Of The Sickest" blasting through his 4312's. I asked right away A. Who are
these guys and B. Where can I get my hand on a copy. I have always been
an old school purveyor of metal, Priest, Maiden, Saxon. Saliva are just as
powerful with a few tricks of there own, yes there is quasi raps in a few
tracks, but the vocals and song writing are top notch, and the lead guitar
player (Wayne Swinny) will be a house hold name in due time. Singer Josey
Scott has become some sort of internet god of a front man, he is able to
change is pitch when singing at a blink of an eye, soft, intense, the guy has
it all. This new release is more polished, better produced, better playing by
all, and more "In Your Face", Just the way I like it. You wanna give your
amp/speakers a workout. Check it out.
