I see some quad stuff from time to time, back in the day I thought things were recorded in Quad??? Any advantage ?/ Are they worth the trouble today??

But finding and buying quad vinyl and tapes can be tough. kbs48 03-19-2007, 03:55 PM I also enjoy it,but getting started can be rough.Like all the vintage gear it's getting older and needs restoring.With quad you have usually double of everything except the tuner section,then throw in a decoder board and other matrix boards SQ,RM ect and it gets pretty cramped inside.Finding a quad TT and cartridge and be expensive. But I tell you Pink Floyd in quad sounds mighty fine. |
