I'm looking for a new CDP that can play MP3's.Do any of the better ones offer this feature?

I just bought a Cambridge Audio 540D DVD player rather then a Cambridge CDP just because it will read so many more formats including MP-3. Not to mention it looks great with my Pioneer Silver faced gear. OH and sounds wondeful/

Check out the Rega Apollo! I bought this player about three months ago, and i'm very pleased with the sound.

Many newer CD players will play MP3s. What price range are you looking at?

Was thinking mid-range.Looked at Marantz locally,only $300.Have considered the Cambridge and Oppo.My wife listens to MP3's so it would be nice to have this feature but not mandatory.

A lot of them do. The last one I got that I noticed was a Sony DVD player.
