Would anyone know of good source for a medium to large size wood or metal glass fronted stereo componet cabinet that is in a good used condition or new kit assembly form ?

neal, how big, or, how many shelves did you need in the stand, and why the need for glass front?

The place I work for (Audio Atlanta), has a glass-door, mahogany-finish American Wood Furniture demo cabinet we're AFAIK, probably going to be selling soon... we're re-arranging stuff. I don't know what the price is offhand, but if you're interested, you can email Pete:

info@audioatlanta.com

... and ask him. It's located at our store, in Marietta GA, BTW.

The cabinet is a totally enclosed unit, about 5 feet tall, and can easily hold 5-6 components. There are 4 shelves, IIRC.

Regards,
Gordon.

Thanks for the replies guys ! Omer she who must be obeyed has decreed mandatory glass doors for that martha steward look. Wanted to get a cabinet big enough to house a bigger reciever like a Sansui 9090 with 4 or so shelves for components. Can't seem to find one locally without getting a massive "entertainment center" which I don't want. Haven't found a good kit like I bought 10 years ago - out of style ? If I can find the glass door and door hardware I can build one if I have too - anybody got a source for hardware ?
Thanks for the tip Gordon.

So she wants glass eh? A shame, my wife REALLY likes the new Target stands.http://images.auctionworks.com/hi/47/47441/mb3_165mk2.jpg

Bell'O ATC-2102 rack

A little pricey, but looks to be well made. Each shelf can handle 50 lbs. My power amp weighs every bit of that. It does have a Cable Management System in the back so your speaker wires are not dangling all over the place in the back ... 61" tall

I just have a problem about spending $580 for an audio stand. I still haven't bought this thing yet.

One of my customers has one of these with his HT set-up. GORGEOUS rack, but the cable management system is a downright pain for his very deep HT receiver. The back post sits right up against the back of his amp, making it impossible to plug anything in. :(
