The Hendrix albums, if in really nice shape, are a great find at that price.

man, that IS a good haul. congrats. i'd like to find exile on main street. everyone has been telling me to listen to that album. i wish junk shops around here rocked that hard. the only album i've picked up all year is a mono duke ellington '66 with a crappy sleeve.

The Hendrix and Exile are the real scores there for $3 a pop. Nice way to get a vinyl collection going as well.

I guess it depends on where you live too. I am lucky in that we still have several used shops that deal lps. The fortunes have changed again somewhat in that used LPs are going cheap locally at CD/LP shops, and thrift shops and the antique malls have been run dry. Too many people over the last 5-10 years have been pretty savage about them. They tried to get wise and have started trying to charge several bucks for common lps and downright batty with Beatles discs. A lot of them have guys in the back on the payroll of internet dealers, so quality donated lps go in the back and never come out the front. Sad to say, but the used record shops are now offering a lot better deals.

I tend to price Beatles stuff on the high side at the record store where I work. People consistently pay crazy prices for the lads...

Nice haul. That is what makes vinyl so atractive for me, finding deals like this.

We have no shops that deal in vinyl, just a couple of Flea Markets. Their stuff is ancient and usually in poor condition. There are two full-fledged shops in Little Rock, one guy charges $4.95 for decent stuff the other A-Hole wants $8.99-14.99, and acted like I bothered him when I asked if he had Red Sovine. The Beatles always command good $.
