Edit-I called and got a case number too. 3 to 5 days to investigate the order. It would not be so bad if they just said that they made a mistake and would not honor the price, but these lying excuses are deplorable.

There is no rainchecks on online orders.
They will not honor the price regardless of anything.

I'm on the phone with them now, been on hold for about 10 minutes and finally now I'm speaking to someone who claims he is in Richfield, MN. (I doubt it).
He is going through all kinds of BS about my address and credit card info now.
I am now on hold again - how long before he continues with this song & dance?
I have now talked to Damian (right) again and this info will be forwarded to their research team and I will be contacted in 3-5 days (when pigs fly).
I agree with the rest of you. If you screwed up on price, admit it and offer me something for MY time and trouble.
I am going to wait and see what happens and if it ends up like I think it will, I am going down to my local BB (about 5 miles away) and see the manager.
By the way, they didn't "have any trouble verifying my information" when I bought my home theatre receiver.
Hard to believe they would "throw away" a customer for the $30 difference by not admitting their mistake.

Not that it will do any good. FWIW, I got into it with who I suspect was the Store Manager the day after Christmas and wrote a letter to the President, which I'm guessing got tossed; never heard back from them.
They screwed up and lack the balls to 'fess up to it and honor the mistake.
But bomb them and the AG with emails, and maybe the souless, corporate rat-bastards will have a glimmer of remorse and compassion in their icy cold hearts and do the right thing..........
But I doubt it

I've always had a problem with that BS too. Problem is most aren't the printer's fault and hence aren't true typos.
My wife and father in law both were in the print business. They set type and copy and the customer SIGNED OFF on a galley sheet approving it for print. So actually, unless the printer CHANGED the type after it was set; there is no TYPO, but rather a proofing error on the part of the original writer, NOT the printer. Often, they left words misspelled as it was THEIR job to print what was submitted; not to proof or edit the originals; that's the customer's job.
But who gets the blame...........:wtf: :thumbsdn:
People need to do THEIR jobs, and do them right the first time.
