View Full Version : Positive feedback's AK Fest show coverage. grumpy 04-10-2007, 08:25 AM Thank you to John Acton for attending and covering our shin dig. http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue30/akfest07.htm tentoze 04-10-2007, 09:22 AM That was as professional a review as one could expect to ever read. I am impressed. And I'm not easily impressed. fotno 04-10-2007, 09:24 AM That's a great read, makes me feel even worse (I didn't think that was possible) about not being there... Many thanks to John Acton! mhardy6647 04-10-2007, 09:28 AM The Big Time for sure; congratulations! Manitoulin 04-10-2007, 09:40 AM That was a great article. Way to go Dave! Fisherdude 04-10-2007, 09:59 AM That was an outstanding read! Sandy G 04-10-2007, 10:05 AM Yeah, from what I remember from LAST years' Fest, this captured the "flavor" pretty well. I felt that at the Fest, w/its more "relaxed" atmosphere, as opposed to the CES or something similar, the exhibitors could kinda "let their hair down" a bit, & not feel like they were on "dress parade"...Part of the fun for me anyway, was getting to meet "characters" like Gilbert, who may actually be crazier than I am...And that's sayin' a LOT...<grin> bigmacc 04-10-2007, 10:28 AM Very impressive, both the review and AK Fest. You know so much goes on at the time, l never fully appreciate the Fests until they are over. (Much too quick).:thmbsp: jcmjrt 04-10-2007, 02:34 PM So much gear at AKFest - this article reminded me of a couple that I had forgotten. luvvinvinyl 04-10-2007, 05:54 PM Now THAT'S a review! Professional skills will make themselves known, every time. Twenty20Man 04-10-2007, 08:45 PM all I can say is WOW. On page 2, the 14th picture down there is something in a wood case sittingon top of a Sony CD, and what looks like a wood jewery box on top.. what a lovely wood case, anyone know what kind of wood that is? I think its in NosValves camp. jimbecky48001 04-10-2007, 08:58 PM Great review as it should be.It was a wonderful fest. wajobu 04-10-2007, 09:12 PM Excellent overview and great coverage...nice pics too :naughty: grumpy 04-10-2007, 09:14 PM Johns a great guy and welcome back anytime ! I think its in NosValves camp. That is Craig's Juicy Music Blueberry Extreme pre-amp. They had several optional woods for the caase. http://www.juicymusicaudio.com/webpages/preamplifiers.html Unless you meant the small box, on top of the Blueberry... dmax99 04-10-2007, 10:25 PM Great Job, It was a pleasure speaking with John.... Billfort 04-11-2007, 10:51 AM Great review that nicely captures the essence of AKfest. Good on John, Grump and all the people that make this event what it is. Kegger 04-17-2007, 01:13 AM Yes John does it right, he's passionette about what he does, listens to what people have to say about there stuff and takes a ton of notes so he doesn't have to make stuff up to fill out a review, well DONE! merrylander 04-17-2007, 08:08 AM It doesn't get any better than that, a real pro. stuartk 04-17-2007, 04:59 PM all I can say is WOW. Dusty Chalk 04-17-2007, 11:08 PM That was as professional a review as one could expect to ever read.Especially considering it started out as basically just an excuse for a bunch of guys to get together, drink, and listen to some tunes. :thmbsp: Andyman 04-18-2007, 07:41 AM Especially considering it started out as basically just an excuse for a bunch of guys to get together, drink, and listen to some tunes. :thmbsp: Excuses??
