That is a lot of $1.00 thrift store records. That was a good investment if the person bought it new.

Now this is something I've always had a hard time with; why do folks go gaga over sealed LPS, especially since the value plummets once you open them? Is it worth say $350 to be the first one to set a stylus on that vinyl?? Or do you just never play it and set it on a wall somewhere???
I usually buy records to listen to, but will buy a nice condition rarity/desirable LP to flip, like the $20 DSOTM I scored a while back. I guess it's all a function of cash flow as there aren't too many/any records I'd drop $400 on.............
Or $40 to be honest

final bidding was $404... very good album but $20 would be the most i'd pay for it....
whoever purchased it must be a huge Cream fan. i read where the albums will warp if you don't remove the cellophane.

$400 is monsterously out of line for this LP in this condition (still sealed) in this configuration (MFSL). Over the last 2-3 years sealed MFSL copies of WOF have consistently sold for $200 - $250, and I don't recall a single outlier reaching even $300 at auction...who knows about purchases from dealers' lists. I have seen clean (though not necessarily sealed) original UK-issued Mono copies sell for $400 and more, as much as $800. Not so with an MFSL release, sealed or not. Anyway, I'd bet that the final price of $404 was quite a (nice) surprise for Seller "manfred", cuz it looks like Bidders 4 & 5 were determined to win this one no matter how high it went.
