i'm sure this has been covered before though i can't seem to find it. what's the best approach for converting those old spring loaded speaker connects as found on most vintage gear, mac, yammie, etc, for use with banana plugs or spades? i'm currently using flexpins but that can't be the best way to do it. is there some screw in adaptor or something? thanks in advance.

Bare wire is underrated.

AFAIK, the only solution is to surgically remove the offending clips and replace them with 5-way binding posts, or your preference of connectors.

I have replaced the odd-ball Pioneer connectors with new plugs in one amp, not too bad of a job. Really depends on how much room you have to maneuver inside the amp around the connectors.
