I was looking at venturing into separates and I have an opotunity to get a Sony TA-E1000ESD off my friend's neighbour.

It looks pretty good being a ES line but I was wondering about other owners opinions. Not exactly vintage and I wouln't be using any of the Pro-Logic BS.

Excellent unit and a real bestseller then - but keep in mind that all analog signals get a/d'ed so you can 'benefit' from the soundfields and the eq. The a/d chips are not super high end so if you don't like their 'sound'... you're cooked.

Oops, Force of habbit. Are you the webmaster of TVK.org? If so, I must it is a excellent site and I drool at it frequently.

I read on the site that it does convert everything via it's ADC and I was wondering how that would effect the sound - seems like its a different experience for everybody.
