Hi,

I was rooting through some old LP's and came across the following gems from 1966, 1964 and some time in the 1980's. Bought for all the best reasons of course:tongue: Could we start a thread on this; show what might be lurking at the back of your vinyl collection?

The guy w/the zoot suit & the cutie-pie moustache seems to be saying, "Don't laugh at me..I needed the money..." But he really needs 2 of them hats...One to sh!t in, the other to cover it up with... The last guy looks to be yr basic Left-Handed Football Bat...<grin>

Does it have to be something we own?

I really like that Curtis Counce album cover.

If you'd like to see a gallery of the truly cheesy (classical!) album covers foisted by Westminster on an unsuspecting (and basically disinterested) record-buying public: http://www.kimbawlion.com/westminstergold/

I gotta find a copy of the first one. You could put an eye out on those pointy things. And I'm just the guy to do it.

I don't even know where to start with this. At about the begining of this year I bought about 50 of these "cheesy cover" 1960s records because I liked the covers and they were cheap. I played them, liked the music and have been hoarding them ever since. Now I have several hundred. Here's pictures of just some of what I have with some of the more interesting covers. I tried to choose some of the albums with the "cheesiest" covers, but seriously, some of this stuff is good, you guys should give it a chance.

That Counce LP is actually a pretty good one. It has "Big Foot" on it.. and also on it is a song titled "Woody'n You"....which was ahead of it's time.:D
