"Say to me where the flowers are" would be a pretty literal translation of the title.

The German version of "Where Have all the Flowers Gone", and yes, Marlene's version (with the gently shuffling beat behind it on her 'Greatest Hits' disc) is extremely moving.
She was a torch singer if there ever was one, and proof that musical emotion doesn't need translated lyrics.
