Anyone use this component? Wife got a new car with it and I have been waffling back and forth about integrating this into my family room rig which also feeds my outdoor setup.

I really like the no commercial aspect of it (novel idea huh!) and no CD's to change:banana:

The unit itself is nice, just make sure you have somewhere to put the antenna so it has a clear view of the Southern sky, similar to Direct TV. I love mine...

Cheers!

Unobstructed view? Reason I ask is if I pull the car into the garage with XM radio on I lose signal completely. Do I need a window facing the south and put the antenna there? That might pose a challange.

I have had mine for about 2 years. In general, for a home system, it's barely adequate. In the car, it competes with FM just fine, but where you have the alternative of playing a real CD, the Polk isn't a very good substitute.

I actually never used mine much at all, until I got a high-quality outboard DAC, which transformed the sound into a listenable result. Barely.

There may be other XM tuners that work better, but the Polk is the most obvious choice, because the others cost a lot more.
