This guy must be living in the past, claims he can get $150-200 for a Zenith console with a juiced up tube.
I love his "crt secrets" claim! Sheesh..

EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it... I think the guy is still living in about the era of that "extra" artwork he is using... except for the $39.90 price tag for his "valuable information". Sheesh!

Then again, I guess this is what free enterprise and capitalism is all about. If he can convince people what he is offering is worth that price, who are we to quibble?

I have a little device that will make your speakers sound better. Just hook it up to the connectors in back, where the cables attach. Your speakers will sound better, cleaner. Works better than brilliant pebbles, and you can actually MEASURE the differences with test equipment, so it really works. Send me $30.00 (Ninety cents CHEAPER than other people charge for their "valuable information") and I'll send you everything you need to know to make this yourself. :D

I doubt there are many sets out there that are still saleable on the used market that are old enough to need a boosting. I've seen few under 20 year old sets with bad CRTs. Those that I have seen have been way beyond boosting.

I've only done it once, and that was purely to get someone off my back. A guy hounded me for weeks wanting a small 12VDC color set. I didn't have anything decent at the time and he didn't want to pay for anything decent. In the end I gave him the choice of 2 5" sets for the same price. One was beat up, missing it's handle, but the CRT was strong and it had a good picture. The other was intact, but the CRT was weak and the picture was awful (boosting it gained some brightness, but the green gun was still way down). He saw both sets and made his choice. He never complained about the picture, so I can only assume he is red-green color blind.

This sounds like an an ad in, say Popular Mechanix from the 1960's along with all kinds of car mileage enhancers, home money making schemes and other quack products.

There is absolutely no re-sale market at all for CRT computer monitors and hardly any for CRT based TV's...and there is plenty of information about CRT rejuvinating or boosting that can just be found by searching the internet.
