I just bought a McIntosh MC-2105 for my Klipsch La Scala. I can't get used to the ear-bleeding highs and mids this combination produces. I have a Yamaha CX-1000 pre amp which is a good piece. I was previously using an Adcom GFA-585 (250wpc) for my La Scala which sounded much better than the Mc. Am I missing something? Why is the sound from the 2105 so harsh? 10 minutes of music and I'm done. My hearing feels it too much. Is this something anyone has experienced with this amp? Just to be on the safe side, I want to make sure I connected my speakers correctly, the negative to the "COM" and the positive to the 8ohms connector, is this the right way? I really need some help from anyone, all feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Fernando
