My daughter just broke the local middle school record in the 40 yard dash. as a 6th grader.

I ran out of family and neighbors to tell so I though I'd post.

I am just feeling proud.

That's cool eljr.

Nothing wrong with being proud of your kid.

Heck, she could be quite the track star someday.

Cheers

Thank you Richpa

I have often wondered if you are located anywhere near Lewisburg Pa.
No particular reason I just love the little town of Lewisburg.

That's pretty cool, eljr! :thmbsp: I ran a little track in 9th & 10th grades, but was only mediocre. I was always tall & skinny, still am, lol, so got drawn into it a bit.

Thats pretty awesome. It sounds like the girl is a gifted athlete. You might consider checking with a local university and see if they have someone to work with her 1 on 1 to really teach her the basic on sprinting. She might as well learn and practice correctly from the get go.

Thanks for sharing the good news.

Good thought. Last year we took her for an evaluation at the Parisi School but found that the ride to and from would be near prohibitive.

I was more thinking one of the local colleges that has a track team. Tell the coach you are looking for a sprinter that wouldn't mind tutoring your daughter for a little play money. Should be cheap and I am sure your daughter would learn a few things to carry with her. Just a thought.

Thanks, I think it's a great idea.

Congratulations to your daughter and her proud dad! She's got to be really fast to break the record at that age. Must have a lot of natural talent!
