Hi Pioneer gurus ;
I have brought a M-4 from Germany. This week I've been dealing with the SAE Mark XIV's , as I recognised that the XO was demaged beyond restoration and the woofers were not originals, I have chosen to give this monster back , and returned my attention to the lovely M-4.
I bought it for 604 euro + shipment to Turkey, which I think was a fine price though there were some marks on the face and woods.
Despite being only 50 watts , it looks like it has a lot of muscles. Being a Class A amplifier with modest heatsinks at can also work as a heater.
Sound is very warm and detailed but one strange thing about the amplifier is that even at exteremely low volume setting it still sounds powerfull with a lot of bass.
Enough buzz words. I am looking for any info/doc about M-4, service/user manuals etc...
By the way I will built a 220 to 100V converter for the amp, any recomendations about which type of transformer I should use? Regular, torroidal etc..
regards
