After way to long a time, our new chat room is finally online. As you know if you ever used the old chat, we needed something else very badly. So, after much searching, reading, test drives and behind the scenes setup, I have installed RealChat on "our" server. No more waiting for IRC or anybody else. You are talking on the Audiokarma dedicated server. You can see who is in chat by clickling on the "Users in Chat" button below the Currently Active Users panel. They will also appear as "Entered Chat" in the Active Users's panel. Now...Let's Talk.

Please note: You must be a registered member to enter the chat room.

I just tried it and it won't load for me.

I get:

- The chat server system at audiokarma.org is temporarily unavailable.

- Your computer is behind a firewall or proxy server. Please ensure that your firewall permits outgoing TCP connections to audiokarma.org on port 8081.

I open port 8081 on my router but still get the same message.

I am working on getting the vB database integrated with RealChat so you can only use your regular login and keep someone from logging in chat as you. Also, to have who is in chat show up under who's online.

they can until I implement the Vbulletin login database - working on that now. Will also only allow you to log in as yourself.

Ive tried all kinds of things, messing with internet options, downloaded the new java etc it wont load or nothing, even when i was at school i tried it and i got the same message i get here. I was able to get in just fine before we did this members only thing, except for the times it said the server could not be found, but at least it would load the chat stuff. maybe someone forgot to put my name in the allowed members  or mebbe on purpose!

You are not the only one who cannot get into the chatroom so please do not feel that you have been singled out. I cannot get in myself. We are working on making it so All members can get in and its just going to take some time.
