Well, you gotta have some kind of amp or amplified speakers.
I was looking at the same unit or maybe a number cruncher.
My $24 Chaintech AV710 does very well using the upsampling 24/192 outputs.
I don't have a whole lot to compare it against, though.
Folks who have benn able to compare recommend the Creative X-Fi pro or the XMystique something or other.

Lots of owners over at Audio Asylum, don't need to log in to search. Just bought an M-Audio Transit myself - old tech now, I guess.

Can't help with the buying part unless your in Canada.
