I am almost sure its a film cap from looking at it in the schematic.

I blew up a couple when I was probing around the preamp circut in my au-999 over a year ago.

After 2 moves, and two different jobs its time to get this thing back out of the closet.

What the heck to I replace these babies with?

Can you give us a little more information? Where does it go? What board is it on and what is it's designation on that board. A picture may be helpfull too.

Pete its in an au-999 on board number F1209, location C725 and C727.

Its pretty large (one of the larger items on the board) and green.

I forgot I had the service manual, its a mylar film cap .47 uf 50v.
