The service manual and schematic are practically worthless in identifying the H756 and H757 transistors on P751, these are the ones that are at the certer of the vertical L amplifier board P751 and have a daisy gold metal heat sink over top of them.
These are starting to fail on mine, apparently a common problem now.
Thanks.

What do the transistors say on their cases ?

These are TO-39 case transistors with an additional heat sink. You can use 2N3440 and 2N5415 as replacements that are still available.
B.t.w. What you mean with 'they are starting to fail' ??

I don't know what they say since they are burried in until I get that board, which is a pain!!!
The are failing in that once they warm up, one produces a lot of static, spray it cold and it goes away, once it warms up, static like crazy to the point it goes into protection.
Thanks Helmut.

Thanks Rob, you were right, I found the parts that Helmut referenced at www.digikey.com and they are on their way. $1 and change for each one. The driver boards on the Sansui snap in like a computer card, these are such a pain to get out on the 2270.
Danke Schon Helmut.
