I sold Chris a Philips integrated amp and tuner.
His communications were prompt and friendly, his payment was quick and painless, his overall attitude was positive and he was a pleasure to deal with all around. Any time you need anything I would be happy to deal with you again Chris! Thanks for making this transaction a pleasure! I hope you enjoy your gear for years to come!
Cheers,
-Paul
BTW, I looked at your Philips thread - I'm curious to know how the amp and tuner compare to your other toys! I feel ashamed that I didn't give them more of a test than just hooking them up to some crappy speakers for a few minutes to make sure they worked!

paul thanks for the kind words.i too wish to thank you for the deal you gave me on the 386/185 combo.they were exactly as described and perform flawlessly.as far as comparisions go ill be doing some a b tests this weekend with some of my other tuners against the 185.i had a chance today to really try and push the amp but the spl's out of my speakers combined with my small room had me turning it down before it started to clip.gotta love that bass.top end is not really to my liking but the midrange seems to stand out.stay tuned.thanks again for the philips amp and tuner.regards,
chris

More praise for Radioactive!

Chris saw my message asking about boat anchor mono tube amps in the partswap area, and volunteered to send me an old Armaco tube integrated amp, for the cost of shipping alone.

Well, I got the amp yesterday... great packing job! I will say, that's about the MOST BUBBLEWRAP I've ever seen in ONE box!! I don't think anything short of a direct hit from a piano landing on it, could have damaged it!

Other than having to slip a capacitor back into place to avert a short (looks like it simply popped loose from its glue holding it in place originally, probably happened in the mail), it was exactly how he described it. Works fine, and I've already got it all spiffed and cleaned up... handsome little devil! :D

Regards,
Gordon.
