My WR Dante Hall caught 2 passes for 5 yds and returned 5 kicks for 177yds including a 77 yarder. His score for the week was -2. What the hell kind of BS is that? Yeah he had 1 fumble but he accounted for almost 200 yds in total offense. A stupid kicker kicks a 20yd extra point and gets 1 point and my guy accounts for 200 yds in offense and gets less than zero? Something has to be done!!! I'm screaming mad and I'm not gonna take this anymore.:D Everytime I sit Hall he catches a bunch of passes, when I play him he goes crazy returning kicks and I score bupkus.

Mike:

Check the scoring for offensive players; there is no category for "return yards", so he gets no points for those as a WR. However, "return TDs" are worth 6 so if he runs one back, you get points.

This week he got 5 yards receiving, which is bupkis cuz' it ain't 20 and fumbles which is -2, and 177 yards in a non-category which is 0, so he scores out at -2.

Remember, like I said way back when.

READ THE RULES!!!!!!!!!!

We can piss and moan about them, but they're what we selected this year. You have to build your team with the guys who are gonna get you the most points under the rules. That's why I dropped Coles (lotsa yards and 1 TD) for Streets (5 TDs and less yards ,but more points!!).

In one of my other leagues, a touch is 6, but you also get a point a yard, so you want yards, yards, yards; no way would I make the move above in that league.

You can customize your settings prior to the draft and select your own scoring options, roster size, etc, etc, etc., but since we are doing this for the first time, we just used some defaults. If you want, i can help out next year with setting it up, but reading the rules and building a team that will maximize points under the system selected is what it's all about; regardless of the league.

Hall will be a crapshoot for you the rest of the season; you may want to look at dumping him in favor of someone who gets regular yardage. As to him going off, when he's on the bench; well that's just what always seems to happen, just like Trent Green.

Going for 120 tonight!!!!:zoom:
