Don't worry about the help for the MX135 it's going back to McIntosh for service. Got the good news today. That's two in a row first the MCD201 now the MX135. Never seen this with any other brand in all my years in the audio industry. If the MC- 501's come in and even make a whisper of a problem. I'm done with this stuff. The only Guy getting any enjoyment out of my McIntosh equipment is the UPS man. Right now I can not highly recommend this stuff on any of the other forums. Great stuff when it works. Let me see how this all shakes out in the end. My dealer would of have replaced the units if he had any others in stock. Whoo Hoo.

Now that you've had a rant please dont forget to post a follow up and let us all know exactly what was wrong with your MX.
I see this type problem all the time with processors,AVR's & anything else with many functions.
I dont mean to sound crass to your problem but its all too often that owners have problems with remote codes & wiring, then blame the manufacturer, not saying this is the case with you but a follow up to the problem would be sweet.

In reply you will see the problem about a couple of threads down where I was asking for suggestions with help with my MX135. Got a reply from Mcintosh explaning that since it would not work with either remote the rf module in the MX135 would have to be replaced to send it in for service. Nice people and quick response for the guys at McIntosh. No problems there. This is not a rant
I am just at witts end. All that money and the wife.

This really odd. I have not heard of this happening before... I did have a MX-132 that did get locked up, but since I upgraded to a MX-119 it has been rock solid.. ..
I am really curious what the issue is. I am sorry that you are having to send it back in.

Glenee, sorry to hear about your problems. Rest assured this is not the norm and many other members here can attest to it. I would say this is just some temporary bad luck which is bound to change and rest assured McIntosh will make it right for you. Let us know when everything is resolved. Good luck with your gear. :music:

Thanks All. I guess I should be happy to have good health. I don't know why I sweat the small stuff. This is no more than just a matter of time and I sure hope I have alot of it left. Like I said when this stuff works it is incredible. Hope no one took the post as a rant and if you did I apologize for that to each and every one.

Hang in there, I know they'll do whatever is needed to make it right. We greive for you (up to a point that is as we say "better him than me"). Sorry, I used to be an auditor and excessive sympathy was not allowed!
Look forward to happier days of sonic bliss!

No need to apologize........every one of us has and will continue to vent when the situation warrants it.......and anyone who suggests that you are 'strange' for venting has a bigger problem, best dealt with on a therapists couch.
