Wireless A/V transmitter

My wife wants to get cable TV in a guest room that's not wired. Does anybody have experience with these wireless A/V transmitters? (I'm not thinking about this particular product, just using it as an example.) If the transmitter and receiver are within the 300 ft. range, can they be on different floors? And if my cordless phone also operates on the 5.8 GHz frequency, would a 2.4 GHz transmitter be a better choice?

If you aren't looking for the absolute in picture quality and sound, it'll work fine. The quality of the signal is probably going to be limited by how bad the cable service is, at least it's that way around here :D

It's hard to say exactly how things in your house will affect reception, but you should be alright in different rooms.
