I vote for #1 too.

My contention is that Mr. Toze has always been a nice guy but just put on a misanthropic front (a WHAT! :saywhat:) and has always been a teddy bear underneath.

And for what ever reason, in his old age he's abandoning this role and casting himself in a different, kinder, gentler role to fit his place on the stage of life.

That's too bad for you. toze has one of the best music collections period. I've been the benefactor of many of his extra albums, cds, and have a bunch of his compilations. Not a bad apple in the bunch. If I lived close to him, I'd be "borrowing" his vinyl all the time while he's off on work-related trips.
