I found the Chico Hamilton Special on Columbia Six Eye Stereo Pressing yesterday. Other standouts were Doc Severinsen Torch Songs For Trumpet. History Of Otis Redding. Mason Profit. Little Richard King Of Rock And Roll WLP. Richie Havens On Stage WLP. The Hamilton, and Havens albums are excellent. I also enjoyed the Mason Profit album. Haven't listened to the rest yet. I know Richie is an aquired taste, but I always liked him. This On Stage album is not in print. Might be on some compiltation. Did see a couple copies of it on the Bay.

I have the El Chico 1966 release from Chico Hamilton - I found it going through 18 boxes of LPs that I picked up a few months ago after a G-sale. It's a nice looking cover - I haven't listened to it yet, will have to give it a spin today. Mason Proffit sounds like an interesting artist - I think I've seen one of their titles at a used LP store...
