Any info on this tube amp would be greatly appreciated? I can't find anything out about it. It has 2 mullard 12ax7's and a few other tubes.

I got it to produce sound but it got very distorted at higher volumes.

THANKS!

It's very light compared to other amps.

Hi Don, do you have a voltmeter? I got a little digital one from Blackfeather Electronics for $5 plus postage, which is hard to beat. You can use a similar schematic to find voltages - check the tube socket pins. The biggest problem with this older stuff is the capacitors, which get leaky or short. They only cost .50 or so each, but they can cause transformers or tubes to fail, which DOES get expensive.

If you want to trade some of this stuff for troubleshooting help, I also live in upstate NY...

tom, I do believe I have a volt meter ...in the form of a DMM that I just acquired. Of course I have no idea how to use it! :D

I'll probably end up throwing them on ebay as untested.

That's neat that there's another upstate ny'er on here! How far are you from albany?

Not too close to Albany, I'm afraid. Past Syacuse, almost to Rochester. I don't see a lot of tube equipment here, but I'm not looking real hard, either. I am planning to build my own, anyway, but if the right parts donor appears, I'll snap it up.
