Any Primus fans out there? I know they are a band you either love or hate but I can't be the only one here that listens to Pork Soda after a 12 pack am I?:scratch2:

I'm sorta in the middle...some of their stuff is brilliant, but too much of it is 'WTF?? :scratch2:

They only have one or two songs that I can stand and I can't even think of what they are right now. So what does that tell you? :thumbsdn:

How about some Frizzle Fry, Sailing the Seas of Cheese:music: Great music, you just have to be in the mood for their quirkyness.

"I sure do like this beaver and I wish I had a pair.."
Classic stuff. Really weird and I think Zappa would approve, but yeah, out there like Pluto. I gotta be in the mood for it too. I still have "Seas Of Cheese" and "Pork Soda" on cassette.

I dig "Seas of Cheese" and "Pork Soda." I like 'em and I don't know why.

They suck indeed! I bought a Cheese cassette when I was 12. My dad hated them and it made Primus all that much better.

I highly recommend their live show. Saw them in Seattle in '95 (Punchbowl tour) at Seattle Center and it was by far the most memorable concert of my youth (beating out Boston by a hair, passing an oversold, ribcage-crushing Tool concert by a mile).

They came out in costume and opened with the s'pudding time. It really got the place moving. I've never seen anything like it. I distinctly recall passing on the scariest looking (and smelling) community joint ever. Black papers and a synthetic smell just scream laced :).

We made the round trip from Idaho in one day. Nearly crashed my Toyota pickup after passing out at the wheel (I love rumble strips). The scary part was that we had 3 friends we ran into at the concert laying in the back of the truck. Now that I'm older (and not necessarily wiser) cursing at kids speeding through the neighborhood, "stupid f'ing kids!", I remember that moment of retardation and think, "Hey, that's me at 16!"

Suck on this
Frizzle Fry
Sailing the Seas of cheese
and
Pork soda

are all killer albums. After that the songs are hit and miss and I did not care for most of the Brown Album.

Sausage and Flying Frog Brigade are also killer Les bands

Love Jane's Addiction.. but like Porno for Pyros even better.. Perry Ferrell is a genius in his own strange way...
