There is little mention of Klipsch subs when I do a search. What are the differences between the KSW 100/200 and KSW 10/12 series? Which is the preferred version? This is for MUSIC, not HT.

Thanks!

I can't help ya any on the differences. I do however have a KSW 12 that used in my HT setup along with my RF-3II's. I used it for music too. I eventually just ran the mains without it (Cornwalls have displaced it all). Lots of bump and pound but mostly just messed up the sound. Great for movies though.

I use a KSW-12 in my secondary system, somewhat modified. I bought this sub about 7 years ago, and eventually learned that the cabinet resonated, badly. I pulled the driver to install some Dynamat, and was shocked at what I saw inside. There were glue gaps around the port and some of the corners and edges. Messy as hell. I've pulled the driver on my Velodyne and it was neat as a pin inside.

I re-sealed it with 100% silicone caulk, and dampened the case. It tightened the bass nicely. It's a decent sub. Would I buy it now, knowing what I do? No. There are better values out there.

I have not heard the other version.
