View Full Version : Alright Fish
It's you and me. :boxing: I win and remain at least one game ahead of the field. You win and we're tied. Any way you look at it, this is a big week. I see you've made some moves on the waiver wire. :scratch2: Saddle up and everyone enjoy the games tomarrow. MikE

You know, this has turned into a real slugfest! Playoffs start Week 15, which means there's only two games left to make the cut. I just looked at it and Thor's right in the hunt, with Carl and ProAc longshots; only Grumpy is too far behind to make it.
I gotta pull for GF this week, cuz If I win over Grumpy my points may get me into 1st place. Not that it means anything once the playoffs begin.
Happy holidays to all and have fun today eating and watching my Packers pummel the Lions. Can Ahman Green get 200 against these guys???

YEAH And guess who had him benched cuz he was not doing shit !
There was no way you could see that happening. Two TDs was a stretch, three?! Wacko. Certainly Fiedler is a benefit to the Fish's fortunes.
MikE
I'd say that was a BOLD move... but desperate times... will do that. Seriously, you must have wrestled with that one, as I did with my lineup [CAR vs KC DEF / Green vs Pennington]. Now let's have at it. :bash: MikE

Hey MikE. Green gets me only two points...and I finally sit down Toomer (because he deserves to sit!)...and what's he do? points points points  The main reason I sat manning was two things...he had a less than stellar game last week...and reported he had a twinge in his throwing arm early in the week...after the game. I got to thinking that the two may have been related...and didn't want to take a chance that he only plays a quater...or worse...takes a rest this week.
I don't know...Green didn't do squat and the rest of mr WR's aren't much to speak of. The rest of my guys are going ta have ta step it up!
Good move he's already fumbled and threw a Int.
You won a close one. Nice call on starting Kitna. MikE

Looks like you won MikE
I did notice that after the game was over...I had won with all final scores of (me) 55 and (you) 52. Then...two days later...the scroes change with you having 2 additional points (me) 55 and (you) 54...I had seen that they gave your KC defense 2 additional points after everything had been final...I think it was for a Blocked kick or something. But now...I check again...and you got 2 more points...for what...I don't know??? But it looks like the KC defense got 2 additional points in addition to the two that they got after things were final...but this time there was no explanation of why.

just got back from the stat corrections page...what looks like may have haapened is that you got late credit for the blocked kick by the KC defense...then...for leagues with individual defensive players...they credited Browning, John (DL-KC) Block Kick for that blocked kick...which gave the KC defense more points for the blocked kick that already had been credited to the defense.
... you got late credit for the blocked kick by the KC defense...then...for leagues with individual defensive players...they credited Browning, John (DL-KC) Block Kick for that blocked kick... Is that how OUR league is setup?
Man, after watching Flutie score at the last second against my DEF I watched the Sunday night game hoping your receiver would do something stupid... like fumble but instead scores you two more freak'in points. So I keep checking for the customary late DEF points to be credited, only to be pissed off when I eventually lose by one point.
Compound that with all the other shit that happened and I was not too happy. But you had your share as well. Green's two points and Karsay missing three FGs and a extra point! I want to win as much as anyone but I don't see where our leagues scores four points on that block?

No MikE...our league is set up to give two points for blocked kick. I think the problem came from how they credited the points for the blocked kick. First (on Monday) the KC defense was credited for two points...for the blocked kick (which they should have)...then...Friday...Browning got credited for the blocked kick (some leagues are set up where you have specific defensemen...so they did need to give credit to Browning)...but...when they credited browning for the blocked kick...it seemed to give the KC defense two more points...for the same blocked kick.
I certainly should give credit to the KC defense...and to Browning for blocking it...maybe there was a better way for them to add it in...where it wouldn't have given the KC defense credit twice...but :dunno: I suppose we'll see if they make another correction or not...but they only have until this Sunday.
oh well

It can be pretty confusing.
Tuesday morning I checked my scores and found 3 different ones!! Statracker had me and Grumpy tied at 65, the home page had me up 65-62 (the "offishul score"), and the details on the score had us like 66-65.:wtf:
I didn't dig in to it to find out why (cuz I won), but it pretty much was the first time I saw things like that. Sometimes Yahoo does have some explanations for scoring changes; I haven't looked as mine was so much a change as an inconsistency.
Oh well, 1 more game til the playoffs. It looks like I'll have most my eggs in the Vikings-Seahawks game; hope the score is something like 54-53!
