View Full Version : It's nice to be the first one inside.
Robisme 07-21-2007, 07:04 PM Of an amp.
The original owner I bought this from said it had never been serviced.
I was the first one to remove the cover.
Only a light coat of dust. This thing is immaculate.
I am very impressed with this amp and would recommend it. The build is excellent. IMO

Your avatar scares me.

Robisme 07-21-2007, 07:37 PM Just bought the service manual for it.
Right side dc is 19mv left side is 21mv.
Not bad for a vintage untouched amp.

Arkay 07-21-2007, 08:19 PM Gorgeous!
Not much more to say about an amp like that! :thmbsp:

:D That's not the intention. (It's only a cute little puddy tat, maybe wants to come in for a bowl of milk or some other liquid refeshment.)
wajobu 07-21-2007, 09:28 PM Goodness...a REAL beauty.
markn2wae 07-21-2007, 10:39 PM It's a nice feeling to clean or repair an "untouched" piece of equipment.
Nothing but NOTHING makes me sicker :puke:than to see a nice unit "butchered" by someone untrained or poorly trained in the art of troubleshooting and repair.:pistols:
AK really shines in this regard and warns people before they ruin a good set (hopefully the owner heeds advice from others!)

PS: And, of course, it sounds even better than it looks, right?
noveltone 07-22-2007, 08:55 AM Hey enjoy the untainted boards. Based on the schematic of my AU-919, brother to your unit, either Sansui began ommitting components and added others on the conductor side, or someone before me was really into mods. It was a bit confusing for me during my recent rebuild, to say the least.
Are you going to refurbish this unit or enjoy its "time capsule" quality Sansui sound??? well, cheers
Collin
