hey all:

My good fortune led me to a nice TEAC X-2000R however the PO's youngster unscrewed the tension arm roller retainer and the retainer and the roller are missing. :thumbsdn:

On the pic I circled the missing side. I put an arrow on the left side tension arm. Both sides are the same. I'm hoping someone here has a parts X2000R or X2000. I don't care if the roller cap is silver, I would prefer black but spraypaint will work!

Thanks in advance, PM me if you can help. :thmbsp::D:yes:

FYI - I believe that the X-10R shares the same rollers as the X-2000R. However the x-1000R's rollers are quite different from the X2000Rs despite the similar appearance.

beemer,
Do you have a pic of the pieces on the side that's intact? I purchased a roller on ebay a while back for one that was missing on a used X-1000R I also bought on ebay but the roller that came was different than the X-1000R uses so it might be from an X-2000R. The ebay auction just said Xseries and it looked the same in the pic. The X-1000R uses a roller that slips onto the shaft and turns inside a "skirt" piece at the back end of the shaft. The one I purchased has the roller and "skirt" piece as one unit so it will not fit the X-1000R. Send me a PM with your email address and I will try to get a pic tonight of the one I have. If it works for you I will sell it for the same price I paid. I will have to look it up to be sure what I paid, but I believe it was around $30 plus shipping. It also came with a silver cap that screws onto the post to hold it on the shaft but there were none of the tiny washers with it. Hopefully this will work for you and get you going!

Sounds like you have an X2000R roller. Sorry, but I found and ordered the parts I needed yesterday. Put that puppy up on the 'bay and watch it fly.

Thanks for your help though. :thmbsp::yes::thmbsp::D

Same problem here...the two rollers, washers, and black covers missing off of the black beauty I found. Assistance with any parts is appreciated.
