I'm not sure whether to chime in here, I've been on AK maybe a month and have already posted at least one rant, yet at the same time I'm still feeling spring time fresh... I have to reiterate what a lot are saying, this is the greatest audio board on the Internet. Obviously a great bunch of people. Folks speak up if they can help. You can expect a wide spectrum of opinions, but there are no personal attacks. And the gear, wow, some really interesting stuff circulating out there and most are willing to post some porn if you ask.
I say I'm into vintage gear. I bought my first piece of stereo equipment with my own money in 1979, it was a Kenwood KT-6500. I have a hard time thinking of stuff from that era as "vintage." Vintage as in fine wine, not OLD. :) When you compare stuff from that and previous eras to new chinese boxes it's like comparing a filet mignon to a Big Mac. It may be similar but only in the most abstract way possible!
Anyway... welcome to those newer than me... and thanks to those who have been here longer for having founded such a great community.

Welcome to AK... again.
Anyone can start an intro thread here, and in fact, it'd be a good thing for some of the ancient... oops, I mean more seasoned, members to do just that!

Thanks, Tom! I celebrated with seafood, mai tais (my wife makes some good ones) and a rockin' new avatar.
I'd love to go downstairs and celebrate with the latest member of the family (Harman Kardon HK 770 power amp) but it's 10:30 local time and our darling three year old girl JUST fell asleep.
