Howdy, pilgrims.
I've been around AK for a few years. I have no expertise.
The location listed for me is my great, great grandfather's address. It remains mine. My moniker is my name without punctuation. The descriptor below that is my eureka. My avatar is the work of a German artist who was a survivor of the Eastern Front. My sig at the bottom represents the core of my listening experience from a gear perspective. Click on the "Stereo Fidelity" logo and learn more (optional).
While it's mainly about the music for me (no rap, no disco), it's also about restoring the shiny things of my youth to proper operating condition, and then letting the music trapped in those black, and silver, discs escape to freedom and breathe.
Some of the refurbished items get passed on to others to enjoy (especially to my daughters and their husbands), some gets hoarded. AK, and the good folks here, have been a tremendous help in my efforts.
AK (as well as BBC Radio 3 on the internets) has allowed me to experience some music that the Clear Channel controlled airwaves never would... some good and some not so good. Hopefully, I have returned the favor by exposing my preferences (some good, some not so good).
Natural is always better than artificial. Go hear some live, unamplified, music soon. I sure will!
