In case you have been under the internet perverbial rock, then you may not have seen me around the audio world on the net. Just type Wardsweb in Yahoo or Google and there will be page after page of me. Pretty much anything other than ".com" is me.

I have a passion for all audio; tubes, solid state, DIY, vinyl, digital, electrostats, horns, etc... You get the point. I like it all and can find some redeeming qualities in all of it. I have systems from 1.5 watt tubes to a couple thousand watt solid state. I have new gear, old gear, home made gear. I buy, sell, trade, and barter for gear. Over the years I have gone from very modest systems to more high end. Its not to hard when you keep trading and upgrading to find yourself with some very nice stuff without having to foot the bill for a uber system.

I find there will always be someone with less and someone with more, so the joy comes from knowing what you can live without. While I do have a lot of gear and many different systems, I don't loose sight of what it is all for: the music. Often times we get caught up in the gear but need to remember all the gear is just so we may listen to the music.

I've said often times, "there are many roads to audio nirvana. The ultimate goal may not be the destination but enjoying the ride."

I once made the mistake of typing my real name into Google - you can't hide on this damned Internet.

I'm still amazed at some of the projects you've done.

If my homebrewing skill was 1/100th of yours, I'd still be really happy :) (and maybe my amps wouldn't be as ugly as they are :D )

Luther is also an excellent host -- the Bottlehead meetings he hosts are always fun and informative. And it's always a treat listening to his beautiful Clearaudio turntable.

I've made quite a few friends at Luther's house, and I've learned just how much fun this hobby can be. It's great to be able to talk about signal tubes and your favorite pressing of "Aja" without getting a funny look.

I do have a lot of SAE ( Scientific Audio Electronics ) at home, my office and my website ( http://wardsweb.org ). I haven't had the time to keep it updated but keep the info up for others.

I neglected to say thanks for all your work on the new server, but I am not in the least surprised that it is working so well, I expected nothing less from you.

Luther is the man who got me started on this whole journey back in 2002.
He was giving away a turntable on the old AU site, and I had just found a stack of my records after cleaning out my parents house and needed something to play them on.

Well, Luther graciously shipped the turntable to me, then I pulled out my old Sherwood receiver that I hadn't used in years, then I needed some speakers and then... well, the rest is history as they say.

Thanks Luther, for everything. :thmbsp:
